This was made by Nellie for me….it’s so sweet! I have been holding on to this for quite some time…and she always does fabulous work for me. I fell in love with this little quilt at market a few years ago and bought it right when I saw it.

Sometimes when I love a quilt so much it’s hard for me to quilt it…I know….I know. I just obsess bout it and wonder what to do. IN the end I just had fun..stayed with designs I was comfortable with and of course used feathers..because they are birds…birds and feathers go together like peas and carrots.

I used 2 layers of bating of course.

I took plenty of pictures…cause I was trying to get the right angles.

Here’s the back:

Thanks Nellie! I love it! I think of you often…and now when this hangs in my house I will be thinking of you a little bit more. :)

Many blessing to all of you today!

This quilt is gorgeous and I can understand why you fell in love with it at market. Nellie did a fabulous job with it and so did you with your quilting. I’m saving it to Pinterest so I can remember to look at it every once in awhile. Do you remember the name of the pattern? Was it a kit?

Simply GORGEOUS! both the applique work AND the quilting – you really set it off nicely with your totally fitting shapes and spacing. I am always amazed at how even and perfect your work is! I had a friend stay with us this weekend, and she was admiring your work on a quilt you did for me – the one with brown sashing and lots of applique. Her comment was “surely this was done with a computer, how could it be done all freehand?” HAHA, little does she know. But she does now! She was astounded!! As am I, still.

Wishing you all the best for the new year! Peace, piecing and love…
