The NEWS
Well I had will let you all in on the news that I was supposed to share yesterday….remember this quilt?
Well I got this note from Donna yesterday morning..and I just cried. Tears of joy of course. Then I started praising God and giving him the glory. It was not me…this quilt was bigger than me.
Charisma,
I wanted to call you but could not get a phone number. Our quilt won the “Safe From the Storm” challenge at
the Piney Woods Quilt Show in Carthage, Texas. I walked in and saw the beautiful purple ribbon and tears
welled up in my eyes instantly. It was purple because there was only one award given for the challenge.
I was so humbled when I saw it and so thankful at the same time. I was standing
close by it when a group of older ladies walked up and they were just amazed. A very good friend of mine who lives in another town walked in and saw it and had no idea it had won or whose it was and she told the lady she was with she thought it was the most beautiful quilt she had ever seen. She said it just glowed. I have had the opportunity to share
the story of the creation of the quilt with several and one of the vendors asked to take my picture with it so she could put it on her blog. I
am so excited! I knew the Lord was in it all from the very beginning. I just pray I am able to share the story and Him receive the glory
because of it. Thank you again for doing the quilt. Only you could have seen what was in my heart and stitched it on the quilt.
I’ll send pictures asap.
God bless you, Donna
That just touches my heart..the quilt is beautiful and the story even more beautiful.
I just knew that quilt was a winner! How could it not win, it won the hearts of all who read the stories of the piecer and quilter !
You both earned this honor!
