Snowmen, Snowflakes..fond memories
I made this little snowman quilt years ago…I am sure it was a free pattern that came with the line of fabric. I bought the kit on sale at a shop in my hometown at the time. I thought it was adorable…and I have to say a panel has to be REALLY cute in order for me to buy it. I am not really into panels…but if it’s cute I can be persuaded.
I am also a person who never buys border prints…but I quilt them on other people’s quilts all the time and I think they are beautiful. I guess I just need to have a project in mind before I buy them…..I don’t know why?
I LOVE snowmen….I have tons of them in my Christmas decorations. I grew up in Anchorage, AK. Snow is plenty there. I have fond memories of my brother and I playing in the snow. Forts, snowball fights, 3 wheelers and building snowmen. We always had to dress them. When I was a kid they also made the biggest snowman in the word at the local mall. We drove there to see it. We thought that was pretty neat at the time. Who knows if it still holds the record..I could look it up I guess? Not to mention that catchy tune about Frosty…which then makes me think of that lovely chocolate dessert at Wendy’s….am I right?
All in all snowman make me think happy thoughts….so I tend to make projects that make me happy..this is one of them. However I noticed while I was quilting that I must have goofed in the corners of the quilts…the upper two are not the same as the lower two….I am not sure if that was a pattern error or a Charisma error…but hey?? That is called a ….design opportunity…right?
Thanks so much for looking!
My oldest Jamie loves snowmen too…this one is something she would love…I like this one and see that you are getting some of your own things finsihed..bet that feels great since you do so many that go back home..nice to make some and have them to enjoy…Blessings and hugs T
