Shimmer

Shimmer is my latest pattern release.

When I am designing I rarely design with a fabric line in mine ( sometimes there are exceptions to this of course) but mostly when I am just needing some down time and I sit down to design I use solid colors. Which is also why you see several of my samples made with solids. Solids are either loved or hated…it seems. But I am a lover of color…so I love them.

When I originally designed this and I was looking at the solids I thought they looks like bits of glitter. Hence the name Shimmer. Wouldn’t this look great in a bunch of sparkly fabrics? yes. for sure.

I made this with a line by Corey Yoder for Moda. I pretty much love all of her fabrics. I have been a fan of hers for a long time. I made a pattern of hers years ago that hangs in my studio now. It’s a favorite. So I love working with her fabrics.

When I love a line of fabric but don’t have a specific plan I will buy a fat quarter bundle and then I end up with several fat quarter bundles and then I make myself design something to use them.:) Just so you know…I probably need to design like 50 more patterns. (LOL that might be a joke….I can’t count because denial is a great thing)

YOu can find all of my patters in my ETSY shop, HERE.

Also just a note to share that all of the quilts and quilt kits listed in my Etsy shop are 15% off right now with free shipping.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! I have some quilting to get done and a sample to make.

I have a slew of patterns due to come out. Fall releases are just around the corner. I can’t wait to share with you some of the new designs!

This pattern was in a magazine . I have it started. The design looks like Tatting shuttles. So I have all the shuttles made and now just have to sew them together into blocks. I am going to add tatting to this quilt top . It will be awhile before the top is finished.
