Saturday….Sew day!

Well quilting day for me…I was in my PJ’s till after 3:00 today. The only reason i dressed was to go to the LQS and get more quilts…plus drop off some.

I quilted all day today…..I had big plans to clean my studio and work on some sewing cause I need to get some DJ Blocks done..and prepare for my felted women class next weekend. But of course I am behind cause I got wrapped up in quilting….I lose time so quickly on the machine….it’s a bad thing for me…and a good thing.

I decided to prepare some of the food that we need for tomorrow..all the kids have friends coming over for the super bowl…football is  a big deal in our house. Once I get the food served I can go hide out in my studio. YAY!

I am hoping to finish Beth’s quilt tomorrow, Genny’s friends quilt and hopefully pin on my Funky Chickens….I am gifting it to my MIL and I need to get it quilted.

I found this quote the other day:

“I certainly don’t regret my experiences because without them, I couldn’t imagine who or where I would be today. Life is an amazing gift to those who have overcome great obstacles, and attitude is everything!”

How true is this? I think this is something that I have said 1000 times just in different ways. Attitude. So much is affected by attitude right?

Each day when I wake up I kind of know how the day is going to go…intuition right? I mean if I struggle toget out of bed..don’t see the reason to get out of bed..totally uninspired… I probably have a poor attitude. But the days that I wake up and I am just so excited to step in my studio and finish or start a project….that iIforget to eat breakfast..I love those days. Those are mostly how my days are..actually. Another fun fact about Charisma…I have chronic bladder infections. I don’t even really know when I have them anymore…I have such a high tolerance to pain…I know  better than to hold in the urge..when I have to go potty. I am like a little kid..if I am busy doing something interesting ( like quilting) I hold it until I have to race up to the bathroom in death com 5 mode. yeah..not good. See how I DON’T take care of myself. Clarissa does the same thing..she will be dancing around with her legs folded together…talking or something….I always say “Do you have to go to the bathroom?” She says “yes” I always say “Then go..What are you waiting for?” LOL I have to chuckle cause i do the same thing…without the dancing of course..that would just make me go.  WOW!  You just never know what you are going to learn on this blog do you? Honestly is the best policy as I always say..now the world will know my “issues.”

I thought about that simply because my job is so great..and my Studio is my “Happy Place” so I don’t even want to leave it to go to the restroom? Who has time for the restroom? Not me….What a blessing That I get to wake up to my happy place everyday! God has planted me here for a reason and I am thankful for that.

So on Friday breakfast my friends were talking about their “Bucket Lists”…..I had something on my list nobody else had..LOL..figures. Most people had places they wanted to visit. I don’t know that I have many of those…I mean I would like to see places ..I like to travel. But I don’t know that I really daydream about it. I would love to go to New York and see a Broadway show. I would love to go to Amish country or visit the Smithsonian museum. Those are all fabulous things. But I would like to run a marathon.   That will require much more from me than standing in front of the quilting machine….earning money to go on a trip. It seems so overwhelming to me.

Last year I had made a list of 10 things that I wanted to purchase or save for…like my dream board. I just really feel like if you put it all out “there” God makes it happen for you. Prayer or not. Honestly, I didn’t pray for the items..they were not real important items that I didn’t think I should pray for like new tennis shoes, Ipod,Ihome that sort of thing..and they all came to me in different ways it was pretty amazing to see how it all happened. I actually kind of forgot about the list until the items made their way to me. Then I marked them off. I think I need to make my bucket list. Maybe if I make it I can see it on a regular basis and start making it happen for myself. I have a short list. I would like to do another mission trip as well. But I feel like that will happen when my kids leave home. So that is also on my to do list this week…MAKE BUCKET LIST or DREAM BOARD. If I can visualize it I can make it happen right?

Experience has told me YES!

So what’s an item on your bucket list? Please share..I may need some ideas…I can think of two right off the top of my head. I need some inspiration !

Well it’s almost midnight and I have church in the morning….Sweet Dreams to all of you!~

Bucket list. 1) Christmas in Bethlehem. 2) Go to Jerusalem. 3) Fly over the Costwolds in the UK in a hot air balloon. (I saw a tv show on that as a kid and it’s always been someething I have wanted to do.) 4) Retire in good health with my house paid off. 5)Have an english flower garden in backyard…got to start with a green thumb first! 6)Vacation by the ocean each year. I’ve been doing good on that one. 7)Walk the lakes in the Alpine region in the Wentachee National Forest. I can’t even make it up Beazley Hill so that ones probably never going to happen!! But I can dream. What’s on your list? It’s harder to think of things as I get older because my dreams and wishes are all for my family rather than a personal bucket list. Have a blessed Sunday.
