Popcorn Anyone?
I love POPCORN! I think that’s probably not a secret to anyone…we own a popcorn machine. LOL
But this quilt is called a popcorn quilt. I have made one before…it was for my friend Courtney. I made it years ago and used Chei Moi’s fabric line of Posh. It’s always been one of my favorite quilts. Courtney Bless her heart loves her quilt. She won’t let anyone use it! LOL
It’s a local pattern you can find here for only $4.99. ( they ship patterns for free) (they also offer flat rate shipping now for everything else)
It not a puff quilt or a biscuit quilt. It goes together very quickly and uses charm squares.
I have been hoarding this line of fabric by April Cornell for years. It’s called Poetry. I had wovens and cottons. I mixed and matched and have a great lap sized quilt that measures 72×72. But you can make them any size you want. It’s perfect for a baby.
I also want to mention that this is really a perfect quilt for tying. as you can see you can’t really quilt down all of those puffs. I just loaded it on my frame and quilted little scribble circles every where there could be a tie. Then I quilted the border.
I thought about using minkee on the back of this quilt..but I have enough scraps to make a backing and I thought it would be better to just use them all up.
It’s light fluffy and comfy…just like Popcorn!
