Aileen sent this quilt and gave me freedom to quilt how I wanted. She wanted show quilting. I was so excited. I wanted to give those circles motion….so I had to think about it. It came to me in the middle of the night…why does that happen?

the pattern comes from a book called “25 ways to sew jelly rolls, layer cakes & charm packs:Modern quilts from contemporary pre-cuts” You can get it on amazon.

For some reason my pictures seem small or something lately? I am going to have to speak with the guy who is editing them ( Rob) . I hope you can see them.

So I used a circle ruler to create those motion swirls around the pinwheels. The rest of the background is filled with pebbles and different designs within the pebbles..flowers, swirls, paisleys ect. Just to give it interest. I also used a shiny purple thread to give it a bit of extra pizazz. I also used 2 layers of batting.

Here is the backing:

I just couldn’t get enough of this quilt. I sent it back right away…because I knew I would struggle to give it back. LOL

Thanks Aileen! Always a pleasure working with you!

many blessings!
