Lori is a PERFECT piecer..and she loves starch. Every seem is sewed perfect and then starched…The backs of her quilt tops are always as pretty as the front. She sent a box with 3 quilt tops…one for the boys and two for me.

We have had a long weekend, Thank Goodness! I have been a bit of schedule…we just had so much going on, church activities, Valentines, Rob’s surgery, and appointments for different things. So getting in a routine and quilting has been a bit of a blunder.  I get something pinned on and have to leave..then I start quilting and something comes up. Hard to get into a groove. So I am hoping this week will be better…and it’s already Tuesday afternoon. LOL

Anyway Lori does a lot of quilts using scraps….people hand her bags of their scraps and she always seems to find the perfect use for them. Not only is she fabulous with color…but also great at really knowing which pattern in which to use the scraps. I am always amazed at her abilities. She knows just what to put together.

This is a log cabin variation….I quilted different types of feathers in the autumn colored strips and leaves and curls in the white pathways to give it some texture.Love the back! IMG_4309 IMG_4310 IMG_4311 IMG_4312 IMG_4313 IMG_4314 IMG_4315 IMG_4316 IMG_4317 IMG_4318 IMG_4319 IMG_4320

The next quilt is a sort of weave pattern ( I think the pattern is here ..or at least one similar) all over stipple was ordered for this! That’s always an affordable option at a penny a square inch..and you are helping some teenage boys fund some important things ( ie. college, car…ect) Thanks for your support Lori! Wow- (I always say that when I come here!) – but, WOW – that log cabin went from really interesting and pretty to WOW, that’s AWESOME! Your work always seems to compliment the piecer’s – as if you & the piecer were of the same mind. Amazing…

And the boys’ stipple is pretty awesome too! I sure wish mine looked HALF as good….

Your quilting is always perfection! I am not sure which I love more the back or the front. I love your work and can’t wait to see this in person when it comes home. You should know that I spread the quilt out on my spare bed and just go in there and stare and touch the beautiful stitches and very time just say WOW!
Give my compliments to the boys on the meander/stippling I appreciate their work and never hesitate to send them my projects. They will continue to be my favorite “go-to source” for high quality budget quilting.
