Wanda sent me this quilt …er bed runner. She made this long and skinny to just sit at the bottom of her bed. Isn’t that a great idea? I have only quilted two of these. IMG_4493 IMG_4494

I think it’s a great idea to use bed runners..or small quilts for season changes. I think it’s a great idea to use neutral colors on your bed as an everyday quilt ( I have a while down comforter) and then make smaller quilts to use as a top layer…less investment than making a queen/king size quilt for the bed…because that limits the amount of storage and supplies that you need. But that’s just my opinion…of course. IMG_4495 IMG_4496 IMG_4497 IMG_4498

Wanda and I have never worked together before…she is a fabulous piecer and I love the colors in her quilt..very rich and elegant looking because of the color choices….but a bit of a natural/organic feeling because of the batiks.  Beautiful!

I chose to use several ferns..big, little medium….adds some curves and linear designs..just as what the pattern of the fabrics created. I filled everything in with Charisma Curls.  She also pieced the back…with fabulous blocks…stunning!IMG_4501 IMG_4500 IMG_4499

Fabulous finish! Thank Wanda!

I absolutely love it! Thank you Charisma!!!!! The duvet and bed ensemble in our room are white-on-white. Can’t wait to finish putting the binding on and have this runner on the end of the bed!
