Latest Pattern Releases

Coming Together was released and it was inspired by a Scandinavian print I saw on Pinterest. As soon as I saw this print I thought I could translate it into a quilt and I did. It looks quite a bit different..as it should. This is fun to make and easy!

I am using American Made Brand Solids for all of my solid fabrics in my patterns. I believe in supporting American companies when I can. Plus I love the product and colors.

This is “Better Half” This is one of my favorite designs….it comes with instructions for 2 sizes. A wall hanging size and this bigger size. I custom quilted the lager one and quilted an all over design for he smaller size.

This is Moon Tree. I love this design because it’s actually the first quilt I designed from scratch and knew I wanted to design quilts as a business. I just didn’t know how I was going to construct it at first ..so I fine tuned everything and figured it all out. I am very happy with this.

This is “Which Way”. This one is so cool! I designed it kind of in a weird accidental way and I loved it so much that I have been waiting to make it and I finally figured it all out. It has movement and lots of color …my favorite things.

I also released “entwine”

I think that this would make a great wedding quilt for the modern couple. but it’s also just a great modern quilt …you can change it with the colors of your choice and personalize it.

I have a few more coming out this week. “Stacked” and “Balance”

I also had 3 projects accepted for magazine publications last week …I am in the 25+ now….I am starting to lose count…crazy, right?

I also found out today that a leisure arts book that I submitted designs for a specific call they sent out They accepted 2 of my designs to feature in the book. There were only 12 chosen. So I kind of feel blessed that I got 2 spots.

My editor said that there is a very-very slim chance that once they get everything ready for publication there could be some cuts. It has happened before ..but she just warns everyone. So crossing fingers that I get to keep my 2 spots. I think that is just a warning for every one….but she also assured me that since I have 2 spots it’s unlikely that I would be cut.

So yay!

I have been praying to God to lead and direct me. I have some other things happening. I also have my own ideas for a book proposal and I have started working on those projects so that I can get everything ready and prepared. I have no idea where it will go ..If anywhere. But I will kick myself if I don’t try. So I am diving in and I will share my progress along the way with all of you. I truly appreciate the love and support.

I will never forget who I am, where I came from ….I will always share my path so that I may inspire all of you to follow your dreams as well. If I can accomplish my dreams, I think anyone can. God is with me every step of this way and I thank him even when I feel disappointed or that I didn’t get this opportunity or that…he knows what is best for me and my journey. So I will keep working until I figure it out. I realize this is difficult and a lot of work, struggle, & rejections along the way. But I am focused on making it happen.

There is the long & short of it all. I will keep you posted.
