Jackie’s Dresdens……

Oh It’s so beautiful isn’t it?

I LOVE dresdens…They are so pretty ..but the other thing is that every time you see one …you know how much work it took to complete them right? I mean there are only so many short cuts you can take with a dresden..and no matter what they require time, patience and work. But the end result is always beautiful. never a let down.

In this case Jackie chose very traditional floral fabrics, traditional colors..matched with the dresden design… BEAUTIFUL!

Jackie requested Feathers..along with most of my traditional designs of leaves, Charisma Curls and swirling ribbons in each blade ..which suits it perfectly. I used a cornflower blue thread in all the dark floral areas that I quilted .. then went back with a cream colored threads to quilt the background behind the blocks. You can see the quilting better on the back of the quilt…which I just LOVE! All those dresdens look like radiating suns….

Thanks Jackie! Beautiful quilt!
