Haiti….I have been accepted

YAHOO! I talked with the lead pastor {heading the trip} this morning about the project…and he said if I sent my deposit and paperwork today I would have a spot on the trip…I drove right down and put it in the mail. I am really excited!

So I sent Rob a text this morning..telling him.( I was begging him to go with me Yesterday …he won’t)….. it’s not in his heart like it is mine. Plus I think the physical labor is hard on him. He sent me this text this morning: I was begging him to go with me….but I am just as happy that he thinks about all of the things that make it possible for me to go…so I don’t have many worries while I am away. He is good like that…I am blessed to be married to him.  { see the name at the top of the screen?…it’s my pet name for him..oooey gooey I know. )

When it is his time God will work on him. I just have a heart for this type of work….and I don’t know why? I feel like I learn more than anyone learns from me….but it takes me out of my comfort zone..makes me rely on God more.. be even more thankful for my circumstances…. A renewal of self. I know it’s all just part of the human experience….loving God & eachother. So we all have a purpose….and connection.

I have been waiting for the perfect trip to come my way and the funny thing is this…..

During the quilt show I had a raffle quilt (that I am still selling tickets for by the way 1$ each)……and one of my friends came up to me and said “so I heard you are going to Haiti?” I said “No”….”I don’t actually have a trip planned yet…I am just waiting on God to tell me where I am supposed to go.”

Pretty Amazing huh? I am actually going to Haiti! Was that a message or a sign? I don’t know but I had no reservations …as soon as he said they had spots I asked Rob if he would go…he smiled at me and said “no”….the kind of smile that says….I knew you were going to ask that (kind of a smile.)

I have to have my money turned in by the beginning of Spetember….YIKES! I gotta get crackin!

Post a picture of your raffle quilt. I bet you could sell some vertual tickets. If it is throw size or larger you can count me in for $10.00 and if I like it (I am sure I will) $20. And I still say you should raffle off your custom quilting service. I know a bunch of us would contribute for a chance at that.
