Can we say WOW! Dedbie takes her favorite patterns…enlarges them..fuses them and then takes her 30 year old machine and satin stitches everything down..I wish you all could see how accurate and beautiful all of this piecing is…it looks like a computer program did all of this work….Kudos to Debbie! I have to say I don’t make wildlife quilts myself…but I may need to start because watching this quilt come to life was pretty exciting….I had to stare at it awhile after I took it off the frame. It’s actually hard to see in the harsh sunlight I took the photos in….but the mountain goats have fur…the water is moving along with the swimming fish….the bear fur is 3-d…that eagle is flying. Love this outcome of this quilt!

I thought I may have issues with all the thick layers of batiks and heavy thread….not one issue…Venus(my machine) is quite the trooper..well she is a champion you know? LOL

Thanks so much Debbie!

The photo is great and I know the real thing will be special. That bear is special! Cannot wait to return from Florida and see the “real thing.”
