Hi Everyone,

Well just when I think I am getting caught up..I should never say it out-loud….right?

I said that on Monday…then the shop loaded me up with shop samples that have to be done by Monday for the new BOM kick off party.

This is one of them:IMG_4767 IMG_4768 IMG_4769 IMG_4770 IMG_4771 IMG_4772 IMG_4773 IMG_4774 IMG_4775 IMG_4776 IMG_4777 IMG_4778 IMG_4779 IMG_4780 IMG_4766

It’s all one line of fabric and I think the pattern is the project sheet for that specific line of fabric…and it’s called Abbey ( or Abby).  But I tried to mix in lots of quilting techniques…Straight lines in the big green areas.. I mimicked the stripe that comes with the line. Loopies, continuous curves, swirls, sweat pea design….all all works together so beautifully…but we have had some bad lighting…( and when we do get sunshine it’s so dang windy..hard to get pictures before the quilt blows away…which happened today) So it’s difficult to get good pictures.

I also finished another quilt I will make another post about. :) (the one that kept flying away in the wind)

Last night we played games at church…had a fun time..lots of laughs and good times. Although we all left a bit earlier than usual. We were supposed to have a beginning quilting class today…but we also had a church yard sale scheduled at the same time… that didn’t work out.  So we helped with the yard sale. Our church is a small church and we have a budget to maintain…we are behind..so we are trying to earn the money to meet our budgets. We did pretty well considering we didn’t have much stuff at the sale…I brought home a vintage suitcase to go with the ones I already have…and a few more vintage linen table cloths..a few of them I am excited about. I see some vintage tablecloth quilts in my future.

Once we finished with the yard sale we had to go to the grocery store. I haven’t been in two weeks..and we are out of pretty much everything. The kids have been eating toast for breakfast the last few days..lol. I just hadn’t gone because we were out of town last week ( for a few days) and our routine got out of whack. This week has been crazy…and our cupboards don’t last long without a weekly trip.

I also have to say that I have been pretty touched by the response from the mission project I have going right now. I am going to start quilting the quilts next weekend. Victoria is going to come help me…she likes to template quilt and she wants the practice. I received two small ones from Jill and they are perfect for her to practice on….I also ordered one from ebay that I thought looked really traditional and like nothing I own…so I can quilt it up and  raffle it off. I find that more traditional ones seem to earn more…and my own quilts aren’t so traditional. :)

My heart has been broken lately..although things seems to be calming down for us ….whatever that means? But it seems so many around me are struggling in their personal lives…I am glad to be an ear piece..and love on my friends…but I just wonder when the end is going to come? The older I get the more I feel it’s coming soon…Do we just get more paranoid as we get older…I don’t think I am paranoid or worried about it…but I am certainly sad that this is the world that we live in and it gets keep getting worse..I can’t imagine what it will be like for my grandkids. Honestly. But we just have to keep truckin’ along.

I hope you are all having a great weekend! Happy Saturday!
