This is a pattern by Jen Kingwell. I have made several of her patterns…because I love them. I love her style. She uses scraps for everything…Which is a style I seem to be drawn too.

This is made using templates, which is not my favorite way to quilt. In fact it took me so long because cutting all of those pieces out is not my favorite. Once they were all cut out it was actually pretty quick to put together. I used scraps for everything.

There is Christmas, text, baby, florals….everything. It just works.

I was so smitten with this quilt once it was made….it really reminds of an old fashioned quilt, One that you might find at a yard sale. So instead of doing some fancy quilting I just decided to do a simple stipple. I put the binding on by machine…which for me is unheard of…..just because I wanted to wash it and start using it right away because it just seems so warm and cozy to me.

Here’s the back:

I am so in love with this quilt I am thinking of making it again…..templates and all.

I hope you find your piece of coziness today.
