Quick + Easy Quilts Edition 1

Hi Everybody,

I am so excited and honored to share that Fons and Porter has a new magazine. It’s called Quick + Easy Quilts. I am honored because I had a design accepted for this very first issue. yahoo!

In fact my design was the very first design accepted. It was given #Q01. How AWESOME is that? I was so excited to be included.

The great thing about this *NEW* magazine is that not only are the projects quick and approachable for every skill level but the premise for all of the designers is to share a story or something interesting about the quilt. What inspired the design or maybe why you designed it, share a recipe something along those lines.

My design is called Rainbow Trout

I used Fairy Frost by Michael Miller Fabrics for my quilt. I thought I  would carry that whole shiny trout look through to the end. I just thought that was a great detail! haha! So I shared a family story and a recipe. As a gal who grew up in AK we didn’t eat rainbow trout and I had to learn once I moved to central WA about rainbow trout. I also share a tried and true recipe for salmon/trout.

The magazine should be on shelves where all magazines are available. This is the August/September 2020 issue. But you can also order magazines at www.quiltingdaily.com they have digital and regular issues. whatever your preference.
