Magazine Publications as of Today

So I have been asked a few times to document which magazine issues feature my designs. Since I am about halfway through my list for this year, I thought now would be a good time to post them. I have about 13 coming this year. 6 of them are released.

So the first one was McCalls:

The quilt is Twinkle-Twinkle. I will be releasing the quilt as my own pattern in May. I am calling it “Glitter Sky”. The Issue is the January/February 2019.

I made 2 versions of this quilt. The one in the magazine features fabrics by Paint brush studio. My version features American made brand solids and it looks WAY more modern.

The next Issue is Easy Quilts Spring 2019:

The quilt is called “Cross Section” in the magazine. I will be releasing it as “Oblongo”. I actually made another version of this quilt as well. I will be showing it when I publish the pattern independently. In the second version I used patterned fabrics to show the versality. I also used a softer color pallet. But the version in the magazine is made with American Made Brand Solids. I love to support an American company.

The third publication is in Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting March/April 2019.

The quilt is called “Bars of Stars”

So I submitted one design that I really love…and the magazine had me change it to suit the magazine. I really LOVE my original version. So when I publish the pattern I am going to publish my original design. But this version was cool in a completely different way because of the middle “bar” I love the white on white pieced stars. I used scraps to make this quilt.

I actually designed several patriotic quilts. So there is a few of them.:)

The 4th publication is in McCall’s Quick Quilts…… April/May 2019. So it should be on shelves now.

The quilt is called “Marbles”

I LOVE this quilt because of the simplicity and versality. I used stripes, plaids, & florals in the fabrics. They are called Oxford by Moda. So cozy! They called it Marbles because they had a them in the magazine. I will probably name it something else when I publish it. The original name I had for it is “Glorious”

The 5th publication is in Easy Quilts Summer 2019.

The quilt is called “Patriotic Friends” because of the friendship stars. The fabric is American Made Brand Solids. I love that fabric.

The 5th magazine publication is Pre-Cut Patchwork. May/June 2019. So I have my copy early….so it may not be on the shelves just yet.

The quilt is called “Linked Logs” in the magazine.

This pattern features jelly rolls. I love this quilt. I made it using farmhouse 2 fabrics by Moda.

So this is what has been officially published. It’s so fun seeing my quilts all styled and in print. Almost always I make 2 versions of each quilt. I won’t be able to keep doing that…I think. But it’s so hard not to show the versatility in every pattern. Fabric choices affect so much.
