Kathy’s Quilts

Kathy always has such nice quilts. Always. She is a fantastic piecer so I have never had to worry about that. And usually her quilts are all HUGE. These are no exception. I think everyone she knows must have a king size bed? :) In all reality I used to make everything huge. I would find a pattern for a wall-hanging and make it king size…cause it had to be used….and I found no use for a lap quilt.  Now I have them all..and wall hangings. Table runners..although I do need some placemats. I have zero.

Anyway …..I finished these up for Kathy in time for her to get them bound for Christmas.

Christmas Flying Geese. Kathy used several Christmas and like colored prints and pieced this scrappy type quilt….So pretty! I quilted with Charis curls, stipple, beads, holly, Ribbons and continuous curves.

The second quilt is a sampler quilt….It’s beautiful. Kathy’s  choice of colors is fantastic. :) I quilted feather type fans, A floral design on the outer border..I just tried to mimic some designs that were in the fabric pattern, I quilted stipple, leaves and continuous curves. Beautiful Finish!
