Kaffe Fabrics

Brenda sent these two quilts. Both made with Kaffe and set very differently. As you all know I am a HUGE Kaffe fan…so these quilts just look like they belong in my studio…do you think she would notice if they weren’t in the box?  What if I just kept one……what do ya think?

I love them both…it may be impossible to choose..so I should just send them back.

This first one is a wall hanging…..I am sure I have quilted this pattern before. The pattern is called something with Diamonds. Like “Diamonds are Forever” or something like that. I can’t remember. Anyway it’s just STUNNING! I didn’t want to interferes to much with the color..so I used black thread. Black is the absence of color and since it was framed in with black it made sense.  I quilted back and forth lines in the points and a flower design in each diamond. I framed it in with Charisma Curls.

Love the back as much as the front.

This second one is solid color boxes all frames in with bits of Kaffe in the same color palette as the boxes. Simple but effective. I think it’s perfect. It was fun to work on both of these projects… I quilted them just how I would if I owned them. *day dreaming* LOL.

My iris’ are in bloom right now..and the color was perfect for this quilt….I couldn’t help but get a photo.
