Dear Jane Monday
Well today was our DJ meeting to pass out the next round of patterns….However this is technically our first week …we are having a sew-in on Saturday to accomplish our goals and hang with everyone. I need to get my blocks done before the group so that I can help all who need help. However…..some of the gals are already leaps and bounds ahead of me….that used to never happen. I need to kick it into gear!
Oterh than that Beth came over to hang out today..YAY! She had a great vacation now she is ready to start binding…..I had a nice package ready for her to take back home with her..LOL. Poor gal. She has like 20 of my quilts. She is so nice to visit and talk with….friends….love my friends.
Here is a little project that I am starting on Saturday..My Friend Virginia made the pattern and she is teaching the class…..her class is overbooked…..and I get to be in it! YAY for me. She will probably get disgusted with me..I can’t hardly do a french knot… she has to teach me several different types of embroidery stitches. YIKES! It’s hard to see in the picture but each layer..and each little design has different embroidery stitches and threads..it is the most beautiful project! I am WAY to excited! Mine is going to look a bit different..I am using a canvas background..and my word is going to be “Hope” instead of “Sewn” because Hope is a special word to me and I want mine to be personalized..especially if I am doing that much hand work…it’s going to hang in my house.
Isn’t that the sweetest?
I was in love the minute I saw it.
Other than that? Nothing much going on here. Rob hurt his back today..I have tension in my shoulders..cause I stress to much. I made really good beef stew for dinner…and that’s about it.
I hope you all have a great night!
OOhh I really like that pattern…its right up my alley!
I love this! I was just trying to figure out how to put a shape like that from one of your fabrics for the Christmas project….thinking maybe sew to interface then cut in back and turn out…ummmmmmmmm. Anyway love the pattern and it will look great with the word Hope…
