Color The Caribbean With Charisma
I have yet to accept the reality that I am teaching on a cruise. It is AWESOME!! How is this happening? I was asked to teach on this cruise a couple weeks ago and I thought …well actually I didn’t just think it, I actually said it to the gal coordinating it….”Ummm do you have the right person? I don’t think I can headline a cruise. I am an unknown.” LOL
I have never been on a cruise before in my life. I have always wanted to go on a cruise. Quilting is offering me this opportunity. WOWZA!! I am still soaking it all in.
I am very excited about this opportunity. Seeing new things, teaching ect. But I am most excited about meeting people that have been following me for so many years, supporting me and lifting me up through EVERYTHING. Some of them are going to be on this trip and I get to experience a cruise for the first time, meet some longtime friends for the first time and create a special project…is just beyond my wildest dreams.
When I started this journey all those years ago it started so simply. I was just going to quilt some quilts to pay for school clothes, sports and help support my family. How could I have even dreamed any of this? I have come to realize over and over again that God’s plan is so much bigger than my own and I just need to follow along. He reveals that to me every step of the way.
I have designed 1 quilt and will offer in it either Tropical or Traditional color way. Each cruiser gets to choose their favorite.
This is called Bon Voyage.
The nice thing about this cruise setting is that we will only have one instructor ( moi!) and a limited amount of seats. I want everyone to have a good experience. I want to be able to spend time with everyone and have a more intimate setting. I know that this is a HUGE thing and I want us all to get great time together. We sew on cruise days. But we all get to enjoy the ports and excursions. There are free sew sessions at night if we want to join those as well. Janome sewing machines are provided for us as well.
I would love to share this time with you. All of the details and info are in the flyer I posted above.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Wow! Congratulations! You will love it! Wish we could join you!
Congrats, what an accomplishment. Be sure to pick up a couple Scopolamine patches before you go. You won’t regret it. No pills, no drowsiness, just relief.
Hello. I have registered for the trip now and paid my deposit. Just wanted you to know I think the tropical color way is my choice. I hope you have enough fabric for the kits you’re going to need. Also hopefully you’ll let us know about thread to use. It’s so colorful I’d want to color match some of the threads. Will there be a really cool label for us to use? I’m more interested in getting straight to work on this big quilt the first night. Don’t know why a make it and take it would be such a distraction but I’ll try to open my mind about it. Looking forward to meeting you sitting in the front row with my friends and getting started on those marvelous colors for the tropical quilt. Kathy Pursley
Best view i have ever seen !
