Back to My happy Place….

The studio. I think it’s time to get back to what I do best and that is quilting. I plan on having a low stress day tomorrow. I want to just relax and not worry about the outside world. I want to make banana bread and bake a nice dinner for my family. So that’s the plan. It’s like when I got back from Haiti…I just want to do “Mom” things and celebrate my life. The simple things in my life that bring me happiness. Serving my family.

But I also plan on finishing a little lap quilt that I have always wanted…and never made for myself with fabric I have been hoarding. So I will be doing that tomorrow. No work….just play. I need it. I need a stress free day.

But I do want to share my scrappy vomit quilts. I made these at the beginning of the year…..I just quilted them on Sunday & Monday morning. You can’t see the quilting designs much in them in or out of the light….The peachy one got all over Charisma curls. The teal one got a wavy feather that was just in and out of the borer…with charisma curls.  The design calls for an all over design because it already has so much going on.

Courtney ( one of my besties) really wanted one of these..and I told her I would give one to her if she worked on some projects for me….so I am holding them hostage until she is finished. I think she wants the teal one..that is everyone’s favorite one :) SO I get to love it, cuddle in it and admire it until we an trade…darn! I am so disappointed.

I think I will have to make a few more of these because they seem to be very popular among my friends…and they use a ton of scraps…WIN-WIN for everyone!
