There were several people that signed up for WA state. I originally didn’t sign up because there were several back ups signed up for WA. But when they got towards the end they had troubles filling Idaho. I took Idaho because my husband is from ID and we will move there eventually. Plus it’s next to WA state and I have spent a considerable amount of time there.:) I already have my block design done and I am waiting for my week (next month) I hope you love it!
I am really excited to see how all of these designers represent their state. The ones released so far are AWESOME! I love the Alaska block. I grew up there …so it spoke to me, personally. This was created by Applique quilts and more.
When you live in Alaska the Ididarod is a HUGE deal. There is a festival in the middle of winter that only ALASKANS would brave to have fun. LOL! There is a full out carnival with rides, food trucks ect in 20 degrees below zero and everyone is there. The start of that race happens within the time frame of that festival.
I also wanted to share the WA block because …well you know….I currently live in WA. As you can tell I am a PNW kind of girl. I could never leave the PNW. This one is by Kissed Quilts.
