Safari Anyone?

Wilma made this quilt. It’s a Robert Kaufman kit. I found it all over pinterest. The double circles are appliqued on ( all needle turn in this case…:)

The quilting kind of stumped me to begin with….The only animal represented was a giraffe..so I could do tiger strips…or something like that.  I just went into each area and gave it it’s own texture. To bring out the elements of the quilt. The pictures don’t do it justice..I was having lighting issues…beating the clock to get good photos..I didn’t win. LOL 

I quilted back and forth lines, circles withing circles, I outlined giraffe print, and leaves. 

This is a fun quilt and I love the backing she chose..it’s a map of Africa! Beautiful!  Thanks Wilma!
