I was inspired to design this quilt from a design call with a theme of “tell your story”. There are so many stories to tell and we all have a story with many chapters.

I knew the quilt wouldn’t be chosen because there are so many templates. It’s sometimes difficult to design for publications because there are limitations, right? I learned that from an artist in the 9th grade. I was an aspiring artist and the instructor explained to me that ANYTIME you are working for an agency or some other entity there are going to be limitations….always. So you have to learn to work within those confines. That is how all artists eat. While you tummy is full you can create without limitations in your free time. LOL.

So while I knew I would not get this project accepted ..I still wanted to create it and I will just release it on my own.

I think the common theme for all of us is that ALL of our journeys have twists and turns. We all have lessons to learn and experiences to shape who we are now.

This a foundation pieced pattern and it is 27 pages. It’s listed in my ETSY shop, here. This is a great pattern for beginner paper piecers because the blocks are fairly simple.

Thanks so much for following along and supporting me on my journey. I hope you all appreciate where you are now. :)

Blessings
