Well we are back in the saddle again. Summer time is always a crazy time because Rob is working the harvest. So he is blessed to have even one day off a week. Once the end of may or June hits we just don’t know what life will be like. So we need to try to get all of his yard-house work to a place that it can go on hold until processing gets situated or ends.
Our back yard slopes because we live on a hill. So the back yard is always an issue with different things we want to do. Due to some other things that we have done in the past we had to come up with a plan to make the yard space pretty and useable. So last year we built the trellis. We have to re-do a few things …..but Rob put together the retaining wall behind the retaining wall. We built a retaining wall to cover two sides of the trellis….one side was already filled in back behind….but the other side had to be filled in.
I one the other hand worked on the front. I weeded flower beds and planted tomatoes in my topsy turvy planters. Carl helped me hang those & the strawberries. I also had to cook, clean & quilt. So I didn’t get as much done in the yard as the guys did. 🙂
Underneath that will by my garden. I just have to wait for the rest of the dirt pile to be unloaded. 🙂
So it’s level with the ground ….now Rob has to build stairs on the other end of it so that that we can walk down into the trellis area…which will have seating and what not in it when it’s finished. 🙂
They still have some work to do. But it’s getting there. 🙂
I have to a give a shout out to Rob. He is not a worker bee. I am a worker bee. I spend majority of my life working…..and thinking about the next project. That’s how I am driven. Rob however is not. So he had to work more than he liked this weekend…just to please me. So if I publicly acknowledge him he may feel loved. Thanks Honey! I appreciate you! It’s going to be so nice when it’s finished.
I hope you all have a great week!
