Winter Red & Bear Paws

Carol is a pretty prolific quilter. The other thing I have noticed is that she doesn’t do “small” either. IMG_8174

I totally get it….I have to convince myself to make something less than queen or king size. When you are giving a gift you want to make sure it’s useful. Both of these quilts are gifts to friends of hers. IMG_8175 IMG_8176 IMG_8177

This first one is a sampler made in a big way! I adore this quilt. That line of fabric is just so beautiful. I think so many of us fell in love with it. The main block is a HUGE swoon block…and I love that as a focal point. The weather is not cooperating here…so I had to take inside pics. IMG_8178 IMG_8179 IMG_8180

I custom quilted the center swoon block and put the names of the owners on the top & bottom border of the frame around it.

The rest of the quilt got a Charisma Curl finish.IMG_8181 IMG_8182 IMG_8183

The back is a pretty tone on tone polka dot. IMG_8184

This next quilt is a bear paw with four patches. On a BIG scale. I love it. There is always something so appealing about a bear paw block isn’t there? There are so many ways to arrange it and set it. IMG_8185

The Black-white & red combo always works for guys. I use this combo all the time for teen guys especially. It just works and you can find prints that aren’t very girly. 🙂

I quilted an all over Baptist fan. IMG_8186 IMG_8187

Thanks Carol! always a pleasure! IMG_8188
