Vintage Doilies

Annette sent this and I can’t tell you how excited I was to quilt this….she kind of had an idea of what she wanted and I was only to happy to oblige.

Is this not FABULOUS? First of all ..I love Vintage…I love a mix of modern and vintage and the  mix of textures…doilies and fabric…..this is so SWOONY! it also doesn’t hurt that there are shades of red and pink….you know my faves. But this is not my quilt…LOL…so I guess it’s not all about me.

Annette is such a great artist …so is her mother and her daughter…so the artistry runs deep in her family. Her and her daughter are being featured in an exhibit this weekend in Canada….and she wanted a few projects done to display during the show. This is one of them.. I feel so privileged to be a small part of that. I am so happy that all of those years ago she answered an add to trade services with me.

And due to the fact that she wanted this quilted in a bit of a hurry she said she would make one for me…..and I sent her fabric ect to make one for me..I can’t wait to show it to you all …bc I am in love all over again.
