Tree Branches

If I had to choose one thing. or subject to make ( or focus on) for the rest of my life? It would be trees. I am in love with trees. In school all of my favorite sketches and subject matter..always trees.  I think there is so much to learn from a tree or see in a tree.  So much texture and colors. There is nothing ever boring about a tree to me. Honestly. Most of my sketch books are full of trees. I have photos of all sorts of trees. Fun fact about Charisma.

So Kathy sent me these two little wall hangings. The pink one without any embellishment is getting about 100 cherry blossoms added when it arrives home…she has all sort of beads, half shells and what not to add to it..it will be a piece of art when she is finished. I love the simplicity of the branches because she is going to add all of the good stuff later to give it dimension.

So I wanted to quilt them differently..they will be hung for different seasons…and they each have a different feeling. IMG_4595 IMG_4594 IMG_4593 IMG_4592 IMG_4591

Thanks Kathy! It’s always a pleasure!

Wow, I love her trees and yours too. And lets not forget the bird.

Love them BOTH! C, don’t ever sell yourself or your talents short – you have given life to both these pieces, and everything Kathy adds will only make them better. Your quilting is breathtaking! It brings dimension, separation & unity all at the same time! I hope she sends you pix of the final products, but they’re beautiful just as is.
