I was having fun one night designing quilts and decided to look at some of the fun blocks in EQ.

I am not sure my blog readers know but I am a TEA drinker. Iced tea, hot tea, herbal tea…..ect. Roo is also a tea drinker. Most mornings before school she gets up early to put on her kettle of water to get her tea ready for breakfast.

There is this fabulous tea Shop called “The Cup and Kettle” in Leavenworth< WA ( it’s about 90 minutes from here) and they ship. So when I run out, if I can’t make it to the shop I call in my order. They have 100 flavors of tea….( I think) more than I can possibly try for sure. But we try several new ones each time we stop. Our staples are carrot cake tea, and Market chai. yummy!

So anyway this is a perfect runner for us. I think it would look great in any variety of colors….the above picture is just a mock up.

But Here is my version :

It measures 64×16

I am including all of the templates here if you all want to make it. You can print out the cutting instructions for each  letter block and the templates to foundation piece it. I am not making formal directions for this…I just wanted to share because they are not my original blocks. I put a 2 inch border around it.

I used scraps. Whatever fit was used when I grabbed fabric.

So here are the yardage requirements using the color code for the mock up above:

White-3\4 a yard

Light pink- 1\4 yard

dark pink- 1/2 yard

navy – 1/2 yard

quarter yard each of these:

purple, periwinkle, yellow, green, teal & aqua. You will have a little extra.

You will also need 4 strips for binding. if you cut that at 2.5 inches you will need 1/3 of a yard.

Backing you will need 2 yards if you don’t want to piece it. You will have   left overs if you want to use it for binding.

Here are the foundations you can print off for the kettle:

You will have to print them out and then tape them together to get the proper size. Just match up the lines.

Then the next Pdf’s that you can print out are cutting instructions for the letters:

Please share with me if you make this project! I would love to see them. :)

Blessings Charisma
