Taco Stuffed Pasta Shells

This is a family fav around here.

It’s different than this recipe that I shared earlier this year.

This recipe is one I have been making for years….and it was something I had at a function and the person would not share the recipe….so I just made my own and figured it out. I am not sure why people don’t freely share recipes…..? I share everything freely.

So here goes I am going to try and make this is normal size portions.

1 box of large pasta Shells cooked al dente

1 pkg of ground beef.  I think maybe for some people this would be a pound or two? Is that right? In my family the more meat the better.

1 package of taco seasoning

1 chopped onion to cook with the beef

1 can sliced olives

2 bottles of taco sauce. Whatever heat you like. We tend to like ours on the spicy side.

1 package of mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350

While browning the meat & onions also cook pasta shells until cooked al dente.

Drain meat add seasoning per packet instructions. Drain and rinse pasta

Then add sliced olives about half of 1 bottle of the taco sauce to meat mixture.

Take meat mixture and stuff each shell…place the shells in a 9×13 baking dish I either spray a little oil or put a bit of the taco sauce down so nothing sticks.

After you stuff all of the shells use the rest of the taco sauce and cover pasta, then layer the mozzarella cheese over that. Bake until heated through and cheese is melted all bubbly hot.

I am serving this with salad and cornbread tonight.
