  2. Hi, pleased to meet a sister in christ as well and a gifted LAQer too…I’m a newbie, but I look forward to someday sending you a labor of Love that you can apply your God given gift to for completion.:-) 🙂

  3. I am excited that you have a website. I have been admiring the quilts that your customers send to you but am in awe with your talent in quilting. May I ask you hoe you got started long arm quilting? Who taught you? I want to learn how to long arm quilt and do not know where to begin. I love to draw and my normal doodles look like quilting designs of paisleys an d so on. What is it about the 26 innova that you find is the best machine to work with? I would really appreciate some of your wisdom on this. God has certainly blessed you with your talent.
    Thanks,
    Elaine

I adore your work, it is something that not everyone can do, you have an eye for just the right attention to detail.

  6. Charisma: I was so happy to actually meet you at the NW Quilt Show in Portland this last weekend. You’re every bit the sweet person I thought you’d be. You’re work is so beautiful. I watch the QB posts for yours and pictures of you quilts. I so admire your family and Christian values.

  7. I just found your blog. I have seen some of your gorgeous quilts on the Quilting Board in the past. I am heartsick to find out that you had a booth in the NW quilt expo and I missed going. My friend and I were all set to go with tickets in hand when I became sick. I just knew I wasn’t going to be able to last the day and ended up at the doctors instead. Thank goodness I have an understanding friend. I encouraged her to go, but she didn’t want to without me. I love reading your heartfelt posts, and I am so humbled to learn of your trip to Haiti. God bless you!

  8. So happy to find your blog through Quilting Board! Admire your workA so very much and look forward to your blog. Blessings to you and yor family.

  9. Charisma, I’ve been following you for some time. You are my inspiration for going “freehand” I have not yet tried on a real quilt, but I thank you for your beautiful work. And now I realize you are also my sister in Christ and I am so excited to start following your blog. the changes to the QB have caused me to limit my use – but am so excited to follow you!

  10. Hi Chrisma and Merry Christmas to you and yours. I have followed and loved all your wonderful quilting on the Quilt Board. Not much lately so I thought I would find you and see what you have been quilting. I see that quilting isnt all you are into these days. Missions is great. Hope all works out for your children and many more to experience it. Didnt mean to go on and on but glad to know you have continued your God given talent of quilting. Will be checking to see what your next project will turn out to be. Also a sister in Christ.

  11. I started following you on the old QB but now that we have this new and improved board I am not on there much. I wish I understood the need for the new format. Anyway, I enjoy your quilting and your blog.

  12. Charisma, so glad to find your blog again. I followed you on the QB several years ago. I felt like I “knew” your family–down to the trips to Walmart. Then you were gone and I have wondered how everybody was doing. Sounds like the kids are growing up fine.

Don’t let the current sorrows get to you. You had to do what you needed to do to preserve yourself. You can have no guilt because others did not take your journey, which was not easy by the way! That part of your life made it possible for you to help your children.

Any way glad to see you again.

    Cindy

  13. Hi Charisma, I am so happy to find your blog. I think you are an AMAZING quilter, wife, mother, and Christian young woman!! It is so nice that your sons help you quilt. I have two grown sons and neither of them would ever have been interested in learning to quilt. Your “Cross Quilt” is AWESOME. I fell in love with the way you quilted the lash marks on the cross and the scripture references in the quilt. I am saving this pattern for my first grandchild. Thank you so much for your tutorials and your inspirations!
P.S. We love Washington! We spent our honeymoon there 33 years ago and have been there several times. Our oldest son received his M.S. degree from UWA and ended up loving Seattle more than TN (probably because its was so far from home). God bless you and your family!!

  14. So glad to find your website. I have definitely missed seeing your work on the QB & didn’t know about your own site until yesterday. Congratulations to you & your “team”. Really looking forward to checking here often.

  15. My prayers are with you and family over older daughter. Please do something with her room. She made her choice and you can’t make it easy for her to come back especially if she’s a family irritant. (You can’t be an enabler.)
Long time fan of your quilting.

  16. Hi, Charisma… I am so pleased to have successfully joined your subscription roster. I always enjoy seeing your creations – whether past or present, and am looking forward to spending whatever free time I can muster to visit this site. You are one of the very few who have mastered the art of enhancing rather than over-powering the original piece-work in a quilt. You are a very gifted, talented, and sensitive collaborator. Simply stated: you are awesome!
    Hugs & Smiles… CorneliaVa

  17. I used to see your quilts on the Quilting Board, and then missed seeing your quilts. I just found your website yesterday. Your work is beautiful, and I enjoyed reading about your faith, work and your family. God bless.

  21. Charisma, glad I found your blog as I was thinking of you today. You quilted 3 quilts for me in January 2011. One as on show today at our local “butterfly festival”. It was a pieced flower quilt and the center was a pieced butterfly. Very colorful and bright and perfect for showing today. Just want you to know I received very very many wonderful compliments on the quilt and the quilting. Glad you are doing well.

  22. PS My grandson Andrews loves his froggie quilt. Last time he visited he had it hidden in his closet so no one would get it.
