I can’t remember the name of this pattern. I know it’s by Primitive Gatherings. Pam sent this to me and I was Awestruck! Her work is always amazing and how she accomplishes all of the projects she does with all of the details and stitching is AMAZING!!

I used 2 layers of batting because it will be a wall hanging. I also had creative freedom to quilt it however I wanted. I had to think about it for awhile….and one night it came to me. :) I love that.

I studied it for a few weeks…..I sometimes need to do that. So she had to wait a bit longer…only because I wanted it to be from me..and what I envisioned. I think we are both happy with the results.

I really wanted to take advantage of the space around the center applique. I knew I could make it shine so i quilted in that framed star to bring it out.

I wanted to mix linear and circular designs..but I also wanted all of those appliques and my frame to pop out…so I did lots of pebbling as a filler to make that happen.

I quilted each block different and added details to bring out the designs. I used straight lines in the inner borer between the vine and saw tooth border to create a definite design…and then on the outer part of the design I quilted all over feathers to create movement.

Here is the back:

Look at all of that stitchy goodness! Bestill My heart! One of my faves!!

Thanks Pam! I always love your projects!

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Love seeing your work especially when there are close-ups that show your quilting so well. This quilt is gorgeous and your quilting is wonderful. The close-up pics sure gave me a good view of your stitching.

What a truly gorgeous work of art! I could never imagine having that ability and “seeing” in my mind the final result. Thank you for sharing such beauty.
