Scrappy Swoon Quilted

IMG_7836OK so I was inspired to quilt my own Scrappy Swoon after I quilted Jessica’s.

Mine is not near as interesting as hers because I didn’t use a variety of fabrics. I love the mix of many fabrics…but when I narrowed my colors down…I wanted to use what I had…I still love her….:) I first shared it here.IMG_7842

But think if I make it again I will broaden my horizons a bit color wise. 🙂 You can get the free tutorial here. The gal also has a few other great patterns & recipes that are on my bucket list. So check out her blog. IMG_7841

I quilted it very similar to the way I quilted Jessica’s…..why change if it works? I did add a big border all the way around mine.I wanted it a bit bigger and I also wanted to add the floral border. I have been hoarding this fabric for quite some time….I used scraps from my popcorn quilt on the back along with some other cuts from a few Bonnie & Camille lines that I have been hoarding. I still have enough to make another quilt when the inspiration hits. 🙂   IMG_7840

I quilted swirly feathers in the background and last border. Continuous curves, wavy lines and then back & forth lines.  I love each element. IMG_7839

The center star looks so nice.IMG_7838

Thanks so much for looking! It feels so good to finish a few of my own. I am also such a star chart kid that I love to make the list each Sunday to show my finishes. It makes me feel like I can see my progress. That I actually do accomplish something. I know it’s not always going to be added too……but I will feel good knowing that it’s growing now. 🙂
