Last year I swapped several stars with a few ladies and I ended up having 30 something stars made from this free tutorial.

So I just used stash and created several blocks and traded to get a variety of colors. They are 14 inch finished blocks. So pretty big. So setting them on point wasn’t really an option unless I wanted 2 quilts…because that would have been a ginormous quilt.

So then I thought I would choose a second block to set them and use scraps to complete them. So I went to Quilter’s Cache and chose one:

I chose the Chained 5 Patch.

So the problem is that I used a mish- mash of scraps and the chain isn’t as defined as I would like it to be.

That sometimes happens with my “Everything goes” philosophy when it comes to scraps. But it used a lot of my strips and completed a huge quilt! I put it on the computer for quilting.

It’s nice to have that project finished….I kept pulling it out…then I would set it aside again. I loved those blocks and   I don’t think I showcased them that well. So maybe I will just make a few more? Who knows?

Anyway great finish!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
