Saturday Night Shopping

So I decided to go to Wenatchee with my friend Sabrina. I should have stayed home to quilt…work on the house….after all they finished Clarissa’s room today! YAY!

But frankly Rob was practically begging me to go so I would get out of his hair. What was the big temptation in Wenatchee? I thought you would never ask.

The Craft Warehouse was having a “Moonlight Madness” sale. All bolted fabric was 40% off…plus I have a 40% off coupon and some other discount coupons. WOW! What a great sale! So I got enough fabric to make a couple quilts…I told Sabrina we are going to quit buying fabric until we actually sew something. The problem is..we like all the same fabrics..so we don’t tell each other to stop buying…LOL. We keep adding to each others pile. No GOOD!

We also stopped by JoAnn’s…OK I have to admit right here and now…I Charisma am a fabric SNOB! I know…I rarely buy anything that isn’t LQS quality fabric or name brand..I just don’t want to invest money and so much time into something that will fade quickly or fall apart. However, I realize that if I could only afford inexpensive fabric..I woudl ratehr quilt with lesser quality fabric that not quilt at all….and of course with the rise in cotton prices..I completely understand…so no judgement…I just like what I like.

But I have to say going in to Joann’s their fabric was 9.99 a yard! My LQS tries to keep her prices down..and they don’t charge that much for batiks….so I am fortunate. I now realize.

Anyhow…I bought the cutest line of Christmas fabrics at JoAnns…it was also 40% off..and so ADORABLE!

Sabrina and i went to dinner together..shared part of our lives with each other. We are kindred spirits. I am so glad to have found local friends. God knew all along when to introduce them.

She is going to come and sew next week…I have some kids quilts that need to be quilted.

Anyway ….I need to get some rest…I hope you all have a fabulous night!

And here is a saying for friendships

Friendship is a precious gift that cant be bought or sold. Its value is greater than mountains made of gold. If you shall ask God for a gift be thankful if he sends not diamonds pearls or riches but the love and trust of friends.

  3. Ahhh!! I missed out!! By the time I realized you had not called it was well into the evening. I was up until 2 am working on Lupe’s quilt top. It was not until Sunday afternoon that I finally finished it. It measures out at 100×108, I just need a backing fabric and I can finish it. I am so glad that you guys had a great time. I will catch you guys next time.
