Sally’s Sampler

028Sally and I traded skills. She made me a super fabulous laptop bag from my Amy Butler fabrics and I quilted this quilt for her. It’s so beautiful.

It’s HUGE so I couldn’t get full front pictures. But You all know how I love a good sampler quilt. I love that I can quilt something different in each block and see how it all comes to life as I go.

039Here is a close up of the border…it’s a panel print of Pansies … beautiful. I usually quilt an all over type of design on those because you don’t want anything to take away from the you have to have something that will just blend in. So I quilted all over swirls.

036 035I quilted fans in the side setting triangles . IN the setting squares I quilted Continuous curves and l’s.

030 029 031The photos aren’t the best for capturing the designs in the borders. But I quilted leaves and swirls.

032 033 034Each block got it’s own treatment. Here’s the back:

037040 041Thanks so much Sally! I love my bag! I hope you love your quilt.

Many blessings
