Pumpkin Pie

My friend Tisha made this quilt and after seeing it in person…I just had to make it. IMG_8161

I LOVE All things Bunny Hill as I think everyone knows. I don’t have time to needle turn applique….(are you kidding it’s taking me 2 years to embroider a crab apple hill quilt) and this is a wall hanging….so I just fused it down and then sewed the edges down while it was on the long arm. IMG_8167 IMG_8168

I did change thread colors…for the ravens I used black, for the leaves I used green …the rest got a creamy white color. I used two layers of batting because I want it to hang pretty stiff. I am pleased with the finish.  The funny thing is that I didn’t have to shop for the fabrics..at one point I did buy the polka dot border….with this quilt in mind. But everything else I had in my stash…scraps from another project.. I made a patchwork pumpkin a few years ago to hang…and I had all of these oranges left in my stash. So that was nice. 🙂IMG_8172 IMG_8171 IMG_8170 IMG_8169

I quilted swirls, wavy lines, I defined the birds & the pumpkins. It’s going to look so cute hanging in my entry way this fall. 🙂IMG_8166 IMG_8165 IMG_8164 IMG_8163 IMG_8162

The back is just scraps from my stash.  IMG_8173

Now I get to add another finished project to my Count. YAHOO!
