Pumpkin Dump Cake….along with some Crumbs

So a few weeks ago a recipe was posted on the the quilt board ( I think) and I thought “Oh that looks really good”

So I saved the screen on my phone for the last several weeks until I remembered to get all the ingredients that I needed. …..

So we doubled the recipe…of course….adn tweaked it for our own tastes
( This is double)
So you need 2 cans of pumpkin or 30 oz. We had freshly cooked pumpkin so we used that.

2 cans of evaporated milk
6 eggs
cinnamon
2 cups of brown sugar
ground cloves

mix this all together

Then pour it into a greased (large) baking pan.

Top it with 2 boxes of yellow cake
then pour 4 sticks of melted butter ( hey I never said it was healthy)
Then we poured carmel tid bits all over….then crushed graham crackers
bake in an oven at 350 for about an hour until golden brown.

I have to say it was YUMMY! However, all day today anytime we mentioned “pumpkin DUMP cake” There was a chuckle from the peanut gallery because I said “dump”…good grief!

Preston also made pumpkin muffins. YUMMY!

The recipe is from my all time favorite cookbook…I got it …for my first wedding..(oh I always hate to say that!..LOL…and I got it in the divorce)

The guys are waiting for the paint to dry in Clarissa’s room…these guys move so slow it about kills me….I try my best to keep them on track…Carl is supposed to have his birthday party next weekend. I don’t think it’s going to happen. Well at least not at home…our house is a wreck….they will have to go somewhere. Oh well.

I had breakfast with my quilting friends today..YAY! we were all there. Sally is back from England…..Boy was I excited to see her…. I tried talking her into taking some work ( not to hard) and she said “no”….i think before we know it..she will be back in the saddle again…having withdrawls from quilting…LOL> I told her I wouldn’t hold my breath.

My boys decided they would try and help me with my logo… They are more versed at computers than I am..somehow though..I think they have their own image in mind….LOL..not what I envision. We will see what they come up with…could be interesting/scary.

Well time to get back to quilting…I hope you all have a great night!
