“Passing Through” is the actual name of this quilt. The owner is going to get me information in case any of you want the pattern. 🙂
I love modern quilts. I just don’t get many that come through…..and when they do I can think of several ways to quilt them. I want to kind of make this one for myself so I can quilt it with my original idea. My original idea was to quilt in the bricks to finish the ones in the main stripe…leave them blank and then quilt flowers & vines hanging down…..(to make it looks like a wall with vines & flowers hanging over it)
But I guess that isn’t a real modern idea.
So I quilted the frame work to make bricks..I used the center strip as the base for all of my lines….and built them from there. Then the owner wanted me to fill them in with tons of different textures & designs. So that was fun. 🙂 The original quilt in the pattern was quilted with all over pebbles…..The owner of this quilt wants to make another one because she has another idea of how it could be quilted…isn’t that the great thing about art? I love that!
I think the many pictures I took will explain everything better than I can….so I will just let them do the talking. In the bottom corner I quilted in a “J” It’s the initial of the owner’s first name. 🙂 I thought it would be cute…like how an artists signs their painting…
It’s difficult to see all of the quilting in the photo…but it does stand out in person.
Thanks for working with my J! It was my pleasure!
