I wanted to let you all know that I am caught up (for the most part…I will have all my jobs complete by next week…)
And it’s been quite a while since that has happened… I am happy and excited! So I thought I’d run a little special….
So here are the terms and conditions…. The rates have to be my current rates…. As of the new year… And I’m offering a 20% discount for any jobs that are booked in January….. That goes for all of the quilters except for the boys….
They already offer a very affordable service.
So in order to keep their business afloat…. And also honor a special for them… Anybody that submits all over stipple quilts for January will be entered in a drawing. If you send 15 quilts for large to medium all over stipple in January, we will enter your name 15 times….. If you send one quilt in January we will enter your name one time….. I just wanted to clarify that. So your name gets entered however many quilts you send. The winner of that drawing will receive a free all over large to medium stipple quilting job.
Back to me……you will need to contact me… So that I can book a date for you, and discuss price and design ideas.
I hope you all have a fabulous wonderful fantastic new year!
Hello Kathy sent another quilt…… an Irish chain. I believe this is mode of fabric beautiful colors….. As always perfect piecing…… and I just wanted to go in and complement the quilt.
I quilted feathered wreaths…. A feather in the border, leaves, loops, and wavy lines.
I love different textures when they all come together…. They can be simple designs…. But when they all come together they look more complicated and intricate….. I love the fact that she chooses light colored back fabric because then it shows the quilting…. And resembles the whole cloth quilt.
Thank you so much Kathy…. I really appreciate working with you this year…. And I hope you have a fabulous new year!
Rob bought me this fancy new NaturallySpeaking Dragon for Christmas! Isn’t that exciting? So I am speaking this into the fancy Shmancy microphone and it’s recording it. It’s doing a pretty good job but I’m having a hard time with the punctuation. Today was a day of lounging, quilting, and playing with all of our new toys. I haven’t gotten out of my sweats all day….. And I skipped Bible study. I didn’t actually remember until it was too late to get ready and feed the kids dinner. But I am excited to get caught up with all the quilts by by next weekend so that I can start some personal projects.
The boys are with Landon for a week. So the house is pretty quiet. Well I think I conclude this session. My handy little tool is working.
I hope you guys have a great evening. Many blessings.
I all I truly hope you all had a fabulous Christmas Holiday. I hope you all know the true reason for teh Season which is Jesus.
Of course he is at the center of my own personal Christmas and he is at the center of my heart. But reflecting back on our Christmas holiday brings me great joy as well with our actions and good times.
I know peope define family in such different ways. Webster defines family in this way:
: a group of individuals living under one roof and usually under one head : household
a: a group of persons of common ancestry : clan b: a people or group of peoples regarded as deriving from a common stock : race
a: a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation : fellowship b: the staff of a high official (as the President)
: a group of things related by common characteristics: as a: a closely related series of elements or chemical compounds b: a group of soils with similar chemical and physical properties (as texture, pH, and mineral content) that comprise a category ranking above the series and below the subgroup in soil classification c: a group of related languages descended from a single ancestral language
a: the basic unit in society traditionally consisting of two parents rearing their children; also: any of various social units differing from but regarded as equivalent to the traditional family b: spouse and children
Isn’t this true? this covers all sorts of options?
So my family Christmas consisted of My sister in Christ…I had invited her so she would be able to have some fun with my family instead of spending it alone. We also celebrated Christmas with My ex-husband, his new wife and her mother. Aren’t we all connected by three children that my Ex husband and I share? Then Rob’s ex -wife also stopped by for a few hours and shared dinenr with us On christmas day…we are connected by children that we all share as well.
It takes a bit heart on all of our parts to set aside pride and put our children first.
I am proud of all of us. I honestly think that is how God would want it in the course of our situations. I also believe that it always works out well because he is behind it.
I call our Christmas a wholesome Christmas because it really was. We weren’t singing carol or roasting chestnuts by the open fire….LOL. But teh Christmas is my family growing up would have been a bunch of drunk adults, drugs and fighting. Of course whenever you get a bunch of family together and chemicals it is bound to happen..honestly.
Our Christmas..board games, laughter and lots of food. Pleasant memories.
Yes, we did have to scold a child….we did have a few minor annoyances..that didn’t ever explode….but they are also nothing nobody will remember….what we will remember is teh family time we spent together and how we all love eachother. I love that!
The kids all felt like they had a great Christmas…which is nice..and I am glad. I always feel like I don’t do enough. But I do….and Rob got a nice big gift from me taht he wasn’t expecting adn has asked me to take back. I got him a surround system for his new TV. Teh new TV was really his Christmas gift..but honestly I think he deserves to have the extra. He is my biggest Cheerleader, my best friend..and my machine fixer..LOL. He hardly complains about it either..he has even gone to fix my friend’s machine and not complained…so he is really deserving of his gift…..even if he feels guilty about it.
Rob and the kids worked really hard to find gifts for me that I would like..I am pretty impressed..I got new scissors that are pink and black zebra print….even a holster..LOL. I got plenty of candy, my naturally speaking dragon, Designing women series, they also got me a blue ray player for teh studio….but I think I am taking it back. I am kind of a simple girl..and if it weren’t for them I would still be watching vhs ..honestly. But I have to be careful about such things because they get offended. So I may just have to put in it the studio…LOL.
The kids got their X-box…..but I refused to buy the top of the line one….so they are pooling their own money to upgrade…but teh funny thing about that?
I tease Bryce that he will be changing my diapers one day. Well last week he had a group of boys in teh yard..they were all meeting up to walk to a wrestling match together. So I called out “Bryce I need my diaper changed…I make poop”
If you can’t make fun of and humilaite your kids as teenagers..there would be no fun what-so-ever!
His face got all kind of red…he was thankful his friends didn’t hear..LOL
anyway I went and bought soem adult diapers and put them in a box and worte “I make poop” all over the box ( I know it sounds disgusting….but it is funny thing around here..with 5 boys). They opened it and laughed..LOL. Then Rob brought out their “real” present.
We are sick..but funny….and teh kids apprecaite it. In my stocking they put in a beef and cheese stick..knowing I think those are gross ( my family loves them!) and a bag of coal….LOL. so the pranks don’t stop on Christmas day around here.
I hope you all had a wholesome family Christmas as well. we will all define it in different ways ..but as I get older I appreciate simple things like that.
Hi everyone..It’s Christmas eve..I have all of my food prepared for the events of today..house is as clean as its going to get..LOL…Company will be here at anytime….but I wanted to show this quilt ..Kathy has sent me at least 10 quilts this year..and I am not even her only quilter…pretty prolific? right?
She doesn’t make anything small……and she is an excellent piecer..I have never had a problem with any of her quilts. I am pretty sure she is going to be teh STAR of her family’s Christmas with all the gifts she made for everyone…and I am so honored to be a part of it..Honestly! I pray all the time that my work touches people..I want to do God’s work…in everything I do…even quilting.
Anyway Tomorrow is Jesus’ Birthday and I am so thankful for his arrival!
Here IS Kathy’s Quilt…..I hope you all liek teh pictures and much as I like quilting!
