In the beginning of the year I took the 365 stitch challenge or year of stitching challenge. Basically you stitch every day for a year and see what you can create…this is all hand stitching. I have stayed pretty on course with that and I have completed so much embroidery. It’s really shocking..actually.

Well I started the year off with this butterfly. ( in the center of my quilt. When I was finished with her.I was really proud of her and I decided to put her in the Modern quilt guild round robin. I had no idea how she would turn out…but she transformed once again.

I am so in love with what my guild members added to the quilt. All of the bugs, & flowers and the wedges…it just turned out better than I could have imagined.

I used 2 layers of batting and custom quilted this. It’s fairly small and it was easy to pop on the frame and work on here and there. Pebbles, ruler work, circles and swils..pretty much everything.

here’s theback:

Pretty fabulous! There are so may talented girls in my guild..I am blessed with their talents!
