First of all I want to wish my Special Man a Happy birthday. Today’s is Rob’s birthday and I am so thankful to celebrate another year with him. he’s my favorite. He doesn’t like any mushy stuff..so I will leave it at that!
This little wool sampler was a block of the week by Jeni Gaston on her facebook group last summer. I kept up on all of the blocks…but when it came to the border I put it aside and left it…I contemplated not doing the applique on the border….but then decided I should. Sometimes I still think I should have left blank. The original was made with browns and primitive type colors…and of course I did it in my own style with plenty of extra stitches,,,,cause more is more…right>?
But in the end I am happy with this cute little project. It’s always satisfying to get these completed. I am pretty proud of my hand stitched projects. I am getting better and that makes me feel good.
I didn’t have the best lighting to get these photos….but I tried. 🙂
You can join Jeni’s group…she started a new BOM that is more extensive…..but it’s free and fun to see all the variations.
Thanks for keeping up!
