IRR Round Three

after round 2...french braid

Well as you all know I am part of an IRR explained HERE and these are my last few posts here.

Well it was my turn to add a round to Mr. Peacock. he is originally from Australia. He made the flight to Florida and got a wonderful french braid added to him….then he made it all the way to WA state. This bird needs frequent flyer miles….I wanted to give the eye a place to rest. However…I have to be honest and say that I really wanted to do something spectatcular. I mean we only get one round a month ..so you want to do something fun and make it POP right? But when the piece just demands a little you have to give it a little. I also think as a long arm quilter I can apprecaite a simple border because you can make it fabulous with quilting. But I will also be honest and say I appliqued some blocks….I cut out colored blocks to put in each corner…I kept auditioning different things and nothing seem to strike me …except this. I just kept coming back to this….it’s beautiful.

Now Mr. Peacock is getting packed up for his next flight across America.
