Irish Mist

This is the last of Lauri’s quilts. They are all huge, they are all’s a “thing” of hers to convert every quilt square. I am sad to see them fly back home. All beautiful & pieced well.

Thanks for working with me Lauri!

This is Irish mist and it was the quilt that I knew immediately how to quilt…..It was fun to watch all of the life come to it while I was quilting along. I did change thread colors for the white areas…as with the other quilts I did use 2 layers of batting.

I quilted a fern….it just seemed right to add them into her quilts…there is definite organic-water theme to most of her quilts ( at least these ones that I had the privilege to quilt) ….I quilted in continuous curves, charisma curls and l’s. I am pretty happy with the finish.

The back is also a batik and it quilted up so nicely. :

Thanks! Lauri. All of these are on their way back home. Please let me know when they arrive back safely.

Many blessings

  1. Someday I hope to make a quilt worthy of having you quilt it! Stunning colors and astounding workmanship on both the quilt and the quilting.
