International Mystery Quilts

We have a club at my LQS called “International Mystery”

It’s been a club for a few years now. It’s a mystery quilt every month and they focus on a different country every month. I think they have different trinkets, foods and fun facts about each country with every pattern they make. The shop lets them use their own fabrics or they can purchase kits in a a few different color options. It’s always a full club and there is a waiting list for this because I hear it’s tons of fun!

I have the privileged of quilting all of the samples…so I get to see the quilts before the club members and I always have to keep the secret.  shhhhhh……..Isn’t that fun?

Well these are the three from last month…they usually just do one pattern…but I think they were doing an “around the world” tour. I am not exactly sure which quilts represent which country..I didn’t pay attention…I know I am so bad. But they are beautiful quilts.

It’s difficult to see in the photos but these fabrics are all metallic…so I used a metallic thread. 🙂

Swirls, feathers, leaves and continuous curves.

This one had a bit of an asian feel…but also many neutral civil war fabs were used…..very traditional looking.

I loved this one…fun, vibrant, bright. I quilted each hexie different for some sampler type quilting…and swirls…back & forth lines. Outlining. So cute!

Love these projects..I wish I had time to join this club!

Have a great day!
