I Believe in Angels Quilted

well sleepovers are good for one thing….I knew I was going to have to stay up all night and get no sleep..so I thought I would work on my Angels quilt…I finshed it. I am a zombie today..LOL {not really} but I feel like I accomplished something…so YAY!

Here is the before pics.

It took me about 5 days to start after the quilt was pinned on because I just couldn’t decide on what I was going to quilt on the piano keys. I had thought about making them scallopped. Then decided “no” because  then I should have made it one fabric. { I know there are no rules….but I think it would be more pleasing to my eye…for this quilt } Then I thought I could make several designs in each piano key. Didn’t want to do that. Anyway I went through several options ..browsed the internet for ideas…..I saw Green Fairy’s latest quilt and thought I could do that…but then I filled in the empty key with the little swirl. I like this I like the straight lines of the keys….and I didn’t want to take away from that. I have a soft spot for piano keys..I really just love them..they are on several of my quilts.  IDK why? I just do.

After that I just wanted to compliment each block accordingly…..I kind of just played …I wanted to add texture…and I have to say I am in love with these little angels. I also put my family’s initials mixed with the three little angels. We have two family names. When I married Rob I kept the name Horton because my 3 boys {Bryce, Cole and Preston} have that last name and I didn’t want them to feel left out. So we have 3 kids & a parent with each name. LOL it confuses people..but it works for us. Blended families.

So today Clarissa will quilt her little quilt and then I will pin on my Le Jardin quilt. I am studying it.

I have great news to share with all of you today…I am waiting for pictures and then I will post it…but it made me cry!
