Kathy made this quilt —-BEAUTIFUL!IMG_4419

We all know what a scrap fan I am..I love scrappies as much as I loved planned quilts. This one is both. Kathy had all sorts of scraps..I wasn’t paying full attention..but I had wondered if there was even a duplicate.  It’s always a personal mission of mine to find a scrap in someone else’s quilt that I have used myself. I found 3 in hers. It’s amazing that no matter where we live and what we make we can have some smidge of something in common such as a bit of fabric. I love that.IMG_4412 IMG_4413 IMG_4414 w

Anyway the name of the actual pattern is called Farm Scraps. I googled it and found it here. It’s a 10$ pattern ..I think that’s a good price. :)IMG_4416 IMG_4417 IMG_4418

Kathy did a fabulous job piecing and using tons of scraps & a variety of them. It’s a good size quilt..so I would assume that it makes a dent in the scrap bin?IMG_4420 IMG_4421 IMG_4422 IMG_4423

Anyway I quilted little sparkling stars in the background, I quilted lots of continuous curves, a feather around the center medallion, and  two different designs in teh border to give it some definition. IMG_4424

Beautiful finish.

Thanks Kathy! It’s a pleasure working with you.
