Farm Girl Vintage

015Marilyn brought this quilt to me. I bought this book as soon as I saw the book. It is such a pretty and sweet quilt. I am not a farmer…but I appreciate them and I do live in farm country. 🙂

Marilyn actually took the class with Lori Holt and bought some extra patterns to include in her quilt. I am in love with this quilt.

I had so much fun quilting it.

I quilted flowers and vines in the border, the background got a stipple , there are l’s and leaves. But each block got it’s own specific design just like most of my samplers. 🙂

016 017There is a double layer of batting because this is going to be hung on the wall….so the definition was needed. 🙂

018 019 020Look at how fun each of those blocks are……I love the little mixer and the bowls….so adorable!

023 024Marilyn did a really good job with her piecing and fabric choices….it was a pleasure to quilt this quilt.

025Here is the back….look at all of that thread!

my favorite part!

Thanks Marilyn! It was a pleasure working with you!

Thanks for looking today!

  1. What is the name of the book the pattern is from. I think I would like to make the quilt, too, only in different colors. Great job, Marilyn, in your piecing, plus a great job, Charisma, in the quilting, makes a winner. Great job, Charisma and Marilyn. You’ve got a winner.

  2. Super job as usual. I am a farm girl at heart, and this is wonderful. You ladies did a fantastic work of art. Love it all.
