Fabulous Flowers

Last summer I decided I would practice some applique. I had this simplistic looking pattern and decided to dig into my Kaffe scraps.

I had the blocks finished and they have been sitting for over a year. I don’t know why I do this to myself. Because on a Friday night I decided to finally put the quilt top together and it literally took me less than two hours to get it together and piece the back. How and why do I do that to myself?

The original pattern was made using sweet pastels and looks nothing like this one. The pattern was also a mess with bad measurements. So I am not sure I will be making that again. But I am happy with the end result. I love the wild colors and patterns that I chose….it’s very me. :)

Thanks for keeping up…I am making lots of progress on my UFO’s…its a goal of mine. And I know it looks like I get a lot of stuff completed..but honestly most of these projects were in finishing stages and I leave them for whatever reason…I have Quilter’s ADD. serious issue.
